The orange oval at the top is a crucible glowing with the heat of the molten metal which has just been poured into the flask below.
Just below and in front of the crucible is a bluish cloud of extremely hot gasses coming out of the tip of the melting torch. At the tip of the blue flame is a shiney pond of molten silver.
Below this is the flask sitting on top of a green silicon pad. The silicon pad has a small hole cut in it just under the center of the flask.
Through this hole a vacuum pump draws air through the investment in the flask.
A low pressure zone gets created in the investment and the higher air pressure outside the flask rams the molten metal into the form.The molten metal thus fills the form of the sculpture left in the investment.
