The pink rods near the center of the image are the gates shown in the previous image.

The front and back of the wax Marco Cat, attached to the round rubber base by pink wax gates, is now surrounded by a "flask". Sorry the image is so dark but the flask is the important part of this image.

The flask is a metal cylinder open at both ends. It fits snugly into the rubber base to form a cup around the waxes.
