| This was the scene at Dr. Joe Spano's
Music Meditation. He's been doing this without a labyrinth at Unity nearly
every tuesday evening for about 20 years. There are about 30 people in
the labyrinth at this point.
It was a bit crowded. Every one who spoke afterwards commented on the
energy present in the circle. They especially commented on the buzz or
flow they felt in the center of the labyrinth. They mentioned how easy
it was to be in the process, even if they felt they couldn't finish walking
the pattern.
I saw eager people. I saw people who walked seemingly only because of
peer pressure.
My favorite was a guy who I'd never noticed before. He walked very stiffly,
with his arms folded across his chest, holding his biceps. He frowned slightly.
I didn't see him again until the third to the last turn from the end. He'd
walked the whole pattern. His arms swung loosely at his sides. His gait
was smooth and fluid. He had a mysterious, youthful smile on his face.
It was one of those smiles that makes you wonder. It made me wonder what
he could be thinking that was so delicious. It supported my faith and experience
in the labyrinth.
Oh yeah. This whole pattern came up off the rug very easily. When you're
pulling the longer tapes up, slow down when you get to the dots that defined
the pattern in the beginning. This way the dot sticks to the tape, rather
than the rug. It took Kay and I about 15 minutes to clean up what 5 of
us had built in 2 and 1/2 hours. Kay stayed after and helped with this
project until the very end. That's why she deserves the Four Gold Stars.
Thanks again, Kay.
Thank Spirit.
