We broke some of the big rocks that Merri and Gary gathered on Wednesday. Here's Gary putting his back into it:
We inlaid the rocks in the outer circle into the turf. Gary wanted a way to make the old labyrinth more obvious for walking and to make it permanent.
We saw that it was going to rain, so Gary, Richard Goebel and I 'quickly' laid the stones into the grooves that I'd cut 7 years ago. We'll come back ever so often and inlay a line of stones into the turf until the whole thing is done. Here's Gary giving it a test walk.
We went back to the house for salmon cooked and served on a cedar plank, steamed brocolli, and deliciously spiced roasted potatoes washed down with wild, fresh bergamot tea just picked from the creekside. The rain began to let up and the sun come out. That restored us enough to begin thinking really wild thoughts... What if we erected a standing stone, a menhir on the power spot where the two lines in the labyrinth cross?
