It is Saturday evening. I just returned from our celebratory dinner at Lotsa Pasta in Cortes. The food was mundane. The look on the one-year-old at the table next to us, priceless as the whole porch where we sat sang her first Happy Birthday song. She looked bewildered, and very happy! The view of the north side of Mesa Verde had us entranced. What incredibly beautiful country.
Here are some images of the finished pattern. We think they reflect the precision we bring to the art of making labyrinths.

I'll add another page to this journal as soon as I have time. We discovered a really beautiful and secluded labyrinth on the way to Mancos today! Susan and Don hosted an impromtu labyrinth walk for us. Robert always jokes, "I don't get to walk many labyrinths, but I sure crawl a bunch of them". Their Grasshopper Labyrinth is one we did walk!
