We've invested the morning and early afternoon in preparing the concrete for our color. We scrubbed the surface with Muriatic acid and then neutralized it with ammonia. This leaves a very clean, neutral surface to which we apply our colored cement. This is one of the 'features' of our installations. The colored cement has a much better look and MUCH longer life than paint. We use a special cement with pigment added to it to make our design. Our suppliers tell us that the polymer concrete is actually stronger than the cement to which we apply it.
We can see clouds moving in. Weather predictions are that a half an inch of rain will fall in the next 24 hours. Rain does not mix with the techniques we use to lay out and color the pattern. We'll hunker down in the hotel and take care of our other work. Or maybe, we'll go see the sights!
If you'd like to receive updates about Golden Spirit and Labyrinth Enterprises labyrinth projects, please send me an email and I'll put you on the notification list. I will not share your address with others unless you tell me to.
